As a Democratic candidate, my loyalty is not to my party, but to the values on which it stands:

Build an economy through infrastructure that supports the well-being of families in rural, urban and suburban communities. This includes:

• Jobs with training and growth opportunities
• Wages that supports families
• Quality and affordable childcare and housing
• Safe neighborhoods with access to clean water, fresh food, shopping, recreation, and public
  transportation
• Legislative protection for strong unions giving voice to employees
• Preserving our natural environment for future generations
• High-speed Broadband access for all

Secure consistent support for those who create the tools, curriculum and relationships that enable students of all abilities, ages, and zip codes to learn and succeed. This includes:

• Professional pay for teachers
• Quality facilities that create community pride
• Latest technology that enables all students to succeed in a competitive workforce
• Funding that support education in rural and urban areas
• Services meeting the needs of all students
• Content and curriculum based on facts, not politics

Ensure the right to good health and quality healthcare for all Tennesseans, from conception through death. This includes:

• Access to quality healthcare services, no matter where you live
• Policies that support healthcare treatment and recovery costs, including – paid time off,
  transportation, and aftercare
• Preventive care that alleviates high treatment costs and improves long-term health outcomes
• Programs that support healthy living through education, a clean environment, and quality fresh food
  options
• Healthcare that treats the whole person through mental and emotional health, family health services, and substance use rehabilitation
• A progressive approach to maternal and child health, and a woman’s reproductive choices

Legislate and advocate for equitable policies, services, community policing, judicial sentencing, and universal human rights. These include:

• Advocating for people of color, women, people experiencing disability, LGBTQ+, senior citizens, and all whose voices go unheard.
• Advocate for the rights and safety of immigrants in Tennessee until Federal decisions are made.
• Drug and opioid addiction support, legalization of marijuana, and criminal record expungements for
  non-violent drug offenses
• Community policing models and a reduction of military weapons in local police forces, including –
  funding, training and community programs
• Domestic violence advocacy and victim support
• Criminal justice system reform, including – vetting candidates for District Attorneys, etc.
• Restorative justice that stops those with mental health issues and non-violent offenses from being sent to jail
• Elimination of private/commercial prisons
